What's In Your Photo Album?

There's apparently been a little dustup between the Dems and GOP in Maryland (not that that's surprising, of course). The latest concerns a photo posted on Lt. Governor Michael Steele's website that shows him with Maryland Congressman, and US House Minority Whip, Steny Hoyer. According to the Post, Hoyer has asked Steele to remove it but he has not done so. The continued presence of the pic has now drawn increased attention to what should have been much ado about nothing.

Steele would certainly seem to be within his rights to post the pic, and I can see why he might want to do so (as the Post states, "it advances the notion that Steele moves comfortably in both Democratic and Republican circles"). But it has now given the Dems a chance to highlight something Steele seems to prefer not be brought up, his association with President Bush. They've created "the Real Steele," a website with a pic of Steele and Bush.

Nothing like a hot electoral battle to bring out the campaign creativity, and you know how I like creative campaigns. ;-)
