Blog Polls Closing Soon

MoCoPolitics' online polls for the State's Attorney and District 39 Delegate races will be closing sometime this evening, so cast your votes now if you haven't already. Both of these contests are of interest to me since I live in D39 (and volunteer for the Ali for Delegate campaign), and Dan Fox was the first candidate to do an interview on my blog (I'm still hoping to get a response from his opponent, John McCarthy).

Anyway, blog polls are not even close to being a scientifically valid view of the broader electorate, but I'm a fan nonetheless. I think they do show a level of campaign interest and organization among bloggers/blog readers. We'll have to wait and see whether that translates to broader support on election day.
