Austin Progressive Talk Yanked Off Air

When we moved to the Austin area about 5 months ago, one of the first things I did was try to find an all-news or news-talk radio station. The first one I came across was KOKE 1600, which primarily carried Air America programming. I had never listened to Air America before and was intrigued (most political talk radio seems to me to be much more conservative).

Some of the shows really turned me off, some were occasionally good, and I found a few (The Young Turks and Ed Schultz in particular) that were consistently interesting, even if I didn't find myself in agreement with them 100% of the time. I became a fairly regular listener in short order.

While I was out this morning I turned on my radio hoping to listen to KOKE and... nothing. Just static. I tried several more times later in the day, to no avail. Then, this evening, while I was making dinner, I dialed up the station and did get a signal. Only instead of the usual progressive talk, I was listening to some nice Mexican music.

Huh?!?

I got online and quickly discovered that KOKE was apparently sold, and the new owner decided to switch the format.

Austin is a pretty progressive city, and as far as I know, KOKE was the only progressive talk radio station. So, fellow Austinites, any suggestions on another local talk/news station? Where do you get your political news and views?
