Duncan Bows Out

WTOP News and the Baltimore Sun are reporting the Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan is withdrawing from the Maryland Governor's race, leaving Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley the leading contender for the Democratic nomination.

UPDATE: Duncan held a brief news conference at 2:00pm this afternoon and confirmed that he is withdrawing from the governor's race for health reasons. Here is the text of his statement, which was emailed to supporters shortly after his announcement.
